Whether you're looking to learn fly casting or enjoy a walk-and-wade for trout, this is the easiest way to get started. If you don’t see a time that works, feel free to reach out—I’m always happy to find something that fits your schedule.

While I’m open to taking anyone out on the water, my guiding services are especially geared toward those looking to learn—whether you're a young angler, new to fly fishing, or an experienced fly fisher hoping to get dialed into the local scene.

As a former fishery biologist, I approach fishing with an ecological mindset. In my experience, the best anglers are the ones who understand a fish’s behavior, its needs, and the environments that support it.

I was born and raised here, fishing the Delaware and its tributaries since I was a kid. That said, so have plenty of other great guides in the area. What sets my services apart is the perspective I’ve developed through years of scientific sampling and hands-on fieldwork.

Electrofishing has shown me more trout than most people will see in a lifetime. I’ve seen more wild 21-inch fish come out of the Upper Delaware in a single season than many guides will ever get the chance to catch. When you spend enough time sampling, patterns begin to emerge. Most of these patterns have been written about before and aren’t all that surprising—but what is surprising is how certain patterns consistently repeat in some areas and are completely absent in others.

As a guide, my goal is to pass that knowledge on to you and help you build a foundation to approach fishing through an ecological lens. Not only will it make you a better angler, but it’ll make the entire experience more meaningful.
